Gift Bags: Send promotional items pertaining to your book or business to place in the BBCR Awards gift bags ($10). Items must be received May 1, 2009.

Program Ad: Our program will feature ads from various authors, local businesses and other pertinent information. Secure your space for a quarter ($15), half ($25), or full ($45) page. Ads must be received by April 15, 2009.

Video Message: Show your appreciation to book clubs while promoting your brand. Shoot a video of yourself saying thank you and why book clubs are a vital part of our literary community. Videos will be shown during event and each registered guest will receive a copy. Videos cannot be longer than 3 minutes. Send videos via email to bbcrawards@gmail.com. If video needs to be sent by regular mail contact Tifany for address. ($35)

Largo, Maryland - January 13, 2009 - Go On Girl! Book Club will receive the Literary Legends award at the first annual Black Book Clubs Rock event on Saturday, June 20th at the Radisson Hotel in Largo, Maryland. The event honors book clubs and literary supporters that have made a positive impact on the African-American community through their service. Honorees exemplify community spirit, leadership, volunteerism and making a difference in the lives of authors and readers. Go On Girl! Book Club Co-Founders Lynda Johnson and Tracy Mitchell-Brown will accept the award in person.

Tifany Jones, founder of the Sistah Confessions Book Club and event organizer stated, "As a book club founder I personally know the hard work and dedication that is required to make a club successful.
